AscendSphere ("we", "us", "the Service") is operated from Belgium and is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store and protect it, and the rights you have over it. By using AscendSphere you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information you provide directly: your email address and name.
• Third-party platform data from accounts you choose to connect (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube): OAuth access and refresh tokens, your username and basic public profile information, and the specific permissions required to publish the content you create.
• Content you create within the Service, including text, images, and videos generated through our tools.
• Usage data such as feature usage and credit consumption, used to operate your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to: (a) provide and maintain the Service; (b) publish content to the connected platforms you authorize, at your request; (c) generate AI-powered content that you request; and (d) maintain the security and integrity of your account. We do not use your information for any purpose you have not authorized.

3. TikTok Data Usage

When you connect a TikTok account, we use TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API. Specifically:

• We request the user.info.basic scope to authenticate you and display your basic TikTok profile information (such as your display name and avatar) inside AscendSphere.
• We request the video.publish and video.upload scopes solely to publish or upload the videos you explicitly create and choose to post through our platform.
• We access only the data necessary to provide these features. We do not access your private messages, your viewing history, or any TikTok data beyond the scopes you grant.
• Our use of information received from TikTok APIs adheres to the TikTok Developer Terms of Service, and our use and transfer of that information complies with TikTok's policies. You can review TikTok's own Privacy Policy for how TikTok handles your data.

4. We Do Not Train AI Models On Your Data

We do not use data obtained from TikTok or any other connected platform, nor your private account content, to train, fine-tune, or develop any machine learning or AI models. AI generation is performed using third-party providers solely to fulfil the content requests you make, and your connected-platform data is never used as training material.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the Service (for example, our hosting and database provider and the AI generation providers that process your content requests), and only to the extent required to deliver the features you use. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption, both in transit and at rest. OAuth tokens are stored in our secure database and are used only to perform the actions you authorize.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active. Connected-platform data (including OAuth tokens) is retained only while that platform connection is active; when you disconnect a platform, the associated tokens are deleted promptly. When you delete your account, all personal data associated with it is deleted within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records.

8. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You can disconnect any platform at any time from your dashboard, which immediately removes the stored tokens for that platform. You may request full deletion of your account and associated data, or exercise your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — including access, rectification, erasure, and portability — by contacting us at support@ascendsphere.io. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
